‘TarBone is the collaborative brainchild of guitarist /vocalist Mike Duke and
trombonist Dan Fox. Their debut CD “Fired Up” features all original compositions
that reflect the duo’s love of Jazz, Blues, and especially the music of New Orleans.
‘TarBone’s music is a “gumbo” of all these influences; seasoned and stirred with
care, and cooked up just right!
Mike Duke has worked with music icons from “Mighty” Sam McClain to Peter Wolf.
Mike was music director for legendary New Orleans singer Johnny Adams from
1990 until his death in 1998. Mike’s band the Soul Twisters backed Johnny Adams
on numerous domestic and world tours; highlights include concerts in Europe,
Brazil, and at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Dan Fox is a founding member of the Either Orchestra, a New England-based Jazz
ensemble that plays genre-bending original compositions by Boston area
composers. Dan is also a founder and co-leader of Made In The Shade, a band
steeped in traditional New Orleans Jazz.
